Information You Submit
Search terms
A name or place entered in a search tool goes to its third-party provider. We do not store or log those terms on our systems.
Messages
We retain email or contact-form messages as needed to reply, operate the service, or meet legal obligations. A service provider that helps deliver or store a message may process it for that limited purpose. We may also disclose relevant information when a valid legal order requires it.
Automatic Technical Data
A visit may record an IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, viewed pages and time spent, referring page, and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure site use. Browser controls can block them, though some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
- Operate and improve speed.
- Route searches to a partner.
- Measure useful pages.
- Diagnose technical faults.
- Display interest-based advertising.
Outside Sites and Advertising
Links lead to rosters, government portals, corrections pages, and outside search tools. Their policies apply after a visitor leaves. Advertising partners may track activity across sites for targeted ads on their own systems.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal data. A search partner receives the query submitted through its tool. Analytics providers and ad networks may receive technical or cookie data, while law enforcement or another government body may receive relevant information when acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures
We use standard safeguards, but no internet-connected service is fully secure. We cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
People Under Eighteen
The service is for adults and does not knowingly collect a minor’s data. Contact us to request deletion if a person under eighteen submitted information.
Your Data Choices
Subject to applicable law and any necessary identity verification, a person may ask for a copy of data held, correction of an error, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. These requests concern information held by this private site. Requests for an Illinois arrest report or correction of a government record belong with the agency that holds it under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, including 5 ILCS 140/3.
Notice Updates
We may revise this policy. A change takes effect when posted here with a new effective date.
